Reply with quote | #109 | Russ and I arrived home. I can't say it was the best overnight flight arrangements! We were booked through on Taca from Roatan to San Salvador then on LACSA to Los Angeles..arriving in LA at 12:05AM and connecting to a United flight which didn't leave until 6:00AM. Well, for a World airport, LA is pretty much closed during the wee hours of the morning. The United ticketing area didn't have any seating due to about 5 people spreading out on the benches and sleeping. About 20+ people all stood around for hours then one by one most ended up (still in the ticket line!!!) sleeping on the cold cement floor or proped up against their luggage until 4:00AM when the United personnel showed up. It was a long day and night! TACA is a great airline....nice clean planes with spacious seating in economy...very good food and DRINKS and on-time flights! UNITED is still terrible !!! So, I guess, I have another year to plan a better itinerary for traveling to CCV.

I am thinking of doing the United /Taca combo! Then getting a room in SFO on the way home for the 8 hr, layover? It gets you to CCV before noon and leaves at 1700 on Saturday! |

Barb & Brandan already booked IAH > RTB on Continental. I may book on the same flight. Then still need MFR > IAH and return. Remember, Russ and I are going for two weeks!!! So we will be going on Frid, May 7. __________________ Joyous Diver |
